This website is dedicated to all those whose lives have been affected by a struggle against cancer.

We are two friends
, Dominic Jones and Hamish Reid, who have been struck by the deaths of close friends and family to cancer.

Of the many emotions we have experienced, two of the most powerful are the overwhelming humility and awe we feel for the professional carers who made the last months of the lives of those dear to us as comfortable as possible. It is the commitment and generosity of spirit of these incredible people and the organisations they represent that permit cancer sufferers the dignity of as normal a life as can be created.

We believe that every person with cancer is entitled to this dignity.

Our goal is to provide financial assistance to Arthur Rank House Hospice and Katharine House Hospice in recognition of the wonderful support they provided our loved ones throughout such a demanding stage of their lives. By doing so we hope to ensure the ongoing provision of this care to cancer sufferers whilst both in caring establishments and at home.

We also recognise that the Future of successful treatment of cancer lies in research. A proportion of the money we raise will be employed in furthering the work of Cancer Research UK.

Our challenge is to perform two tasks of an exceptionally demanding nature, which represent the struggle that cancer sufferers endure against extreme adversity. We have completed our attempt to break the world’s longest continuous crawl record and are set to swim across the English Channel in August this year.

We beg you to support us because we believe that in doing so you shall make a very real difference to the lives of many cancer sufferers, their families and their friends.
